    Hello,

I recently found a Chronostop (watch head only) that my dad gave me when I was around 10 years old. My dad believes he might know where the original mesh band is at, but he’s not too certain. As a backup, does anyone have any recommendations on a mesh band that would look similar to original? I’ve been looking at a few online that seem nice, just want to know other’s thoughts on the topic. Also, would curved ends work with the head on this watch? Thanks.

    P.S.

The watch is currently at my local watch maker for an overhaul and will be joining my rotation once C1D2CD29-E78C-42C6-9FDF-FC86B07E764B.jpeg complete.

If your father can't find it I'd recommend searching out an original on Ebay. They pop up quite regularly, aren't too expensive ( E200-300) and are quite versitile for other watches due to their 18mm straight ends. I have a couple and wear them on all sorts with pleasure

There are two now on EBay, just search Omega Chronostop Mesh 18mm.

they are a little pricey but there is a best offer option and they have been active for a while.

I have a Chronostop and took the original leather deployment off for a 18mm racing strap, I like it better. C365361F-1380-4645-B79E-2DB87D89EA33.jpeg

Thanks for the replies. Any good aftermarket mesh bands? I would love to get an original omega band, but I just bought a Breitling and and that has taken up most of my “spare” cash.

If you're not in a hurry and if the pricerange quoted by @cristos71 still holds, putting aside 1$/€/£ a day will get you an nice original in a year ;)

Just thought I’d give an update. I got the watch back from my watch maker and he did a great service on it. I decided to throw it on a nato until my dad can find the original mesh, or I save up to buy one. LOVE THIS WATCH! 43EF2E3E-8295-43A2-AF1F-282C474A12EE.jpeg

Those don't work unless you wear it on the inside of your wrist. :D

Do you find it hard to type that way? I rest the palm of my left and on whatever while my right floats. Don't know why....

Funny you ask. I am afraid of scratching up the plastic so I will rotate the watch on the top when I’m doing something like typing.

You only wear it when driving your 1967 MKIII Austin Healy 3000 Tom.
