    hello,

    When I engage the chronograph on my Speedmaster the hand jumps before starting in the video above.

    Is this normal? Should I have the watch serviced to fix this? I would love input!

    for a clearer photo, here is where the chrono jumps to once I engage the pusher

    Pretty much all of them do. There is a certain amount of slack in the train because of necessary clearances, so after the slack is taken up, the chronograph hand appears to leap forward. It's no big deal and your timing will still be accurate after those first two seconds.

    If you're measuring something less than two seconds, you're using the wrong device. :)

    Normal. Depending on how the teeth mesh on each engagement it can vary. Thats a lateral clutch for ya. They do look nice compared to a vertical clutch.
