Chrono24 Warranty Moonwatch question

I'm looking at the following listing for a sapphire sandwich:
https://www.chrono24.com/omega/speedmaster-professional-moonwatch-sapphire-caseback--id8474790.htm

They state that this watch includes the original Omega manufacturer 5 year warranty. This is my first Omega purchase, so before I pull the trigger, can someone tell me if this looks legit? Most watches I've seen on gray market sites don't include the original warranty. Is this an exception to the rule? Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything, so will defer to the experts here.

Thank you in advance!

Looks legit. But have you checked for that watch here on OF sales forum? There are usually a couple for sale from reputable sellers.

I just did. Saw a couple for $5k, which is still a few hundred more than what I'm seeing on Chrono24. There's one here for $4500 which I'm currently inquiring about.

There are usually better deals here on OF than $4,700 USD.

I just bought a brand new 2020 311.33.42.30.01.001 Full kit/papers for 3,900 from a dealer in the watches for sale section in here. No tax or shipping, which may not always be the case for dealers on chrono24. You can find trusted dealers on chrono but all a dealer on chrono has to do to receive a “trusted” label is have a handful of good reviews. The dealers on here have been vetted and are reputable and source the watches directly from an ad/boutique. It might be a little more than on chrono (and just marginally more) but at least you don’t have to question the legitimacy of it haha.
Thanks for the feedback. This will be my first Omega so I really appreciate the input I've received thus far. Didn't realize that the sellers on OF have been vetted.

Or you could just buy one from an Omega AD. Only way to be sure. Of course, I'm assuming the watch is more important than the deal you get.

I tried to buy that one today actually, but my credit card got hacked during checkout. Hoping to try again in a few days when my new card arrives.
Suspicious, more likely your card was previously hacked.

I’ve only had the card three days, and this was the first transaction I had made on it.

It is never a good idea to use a brand new card for an online purchase for the initial transaction, especially a high value purchase, and a foreign transaction at that. Your card wasn't hacked, but shut down because a transaction was attempted without the card being present to the seller. You can call your card issuer and tell them you will be making a high value, foreign online purchase, or better yet use a well established card if you have one.

The difference between omega forums and WUS and The Rolex Forums is that not just anyone can post an item for sale. On WUS/TRF any brand new member can post something and scam others. In the private watch sales of this group, those are all largely very reputable sellers that put in the time to be able to list there and come with feedback. I say largely because there is a minimum requirement of a member needing to make 200 posts in the general forum to be allowed to post in the private sales. It can’t be 200 comments of “okay” “cool watch” and so on often referred to as “comment farming.” It has to be 200 meaningful posts to show you want to be apart of the community so others can really get to know/trust you. Those that are caught comment farming will get the boot and I earlier I said largely because, very few people have been successful enough to skirt that rule and successfully post in that section before getting the boot. The actual “watch for sale” section is reserved for trusted/highly reputable dealers that sell genuine brand new watches with the warranty. They also have feedback to show. No one else can post there, so that is a section you can genuinely trust. If you find a seller in that section that has a watch you like you can google “ *their name* omega forums” and you’ll find their feedback/customer experience with pics or just go to the review section of this forum. Compared to the other forums where any random new person can sell whatever they want. This is a forum you can actually trust.
How wrong you are on just about everything you just stated.

Trust me, it was hacked. I called my credit card company immediately, and they raised it to the highest level of fraud department. They specifically told me that as soon as I ran my card it put my card on “auto bill” status on a limousine/taxi Company in California. This was likely due to Google pay, which forced me to enter my credit card information manually instead of auto populating the info like it usually does.

I mean people should check the facts before they start offering advice here.
Your comment is not helpful unless you are going to elaborate. So every single thing in his post is false? That sellers are not vetted here? Sellers are not to be trusted? I'm about to buy a watch here, so if you're insinuating that buying on this forum is risky, please state that. Otherwise, your post adds no value to this thread.

Sounds like you maybe got caught in a phishing scam.

OK I'll elaborate a little for clarity.
I stated that just about everything that @Scarecrow Boat posted was untrue, which it is.
Firstly, he said anyone could sign up to WUS or TRF and immediately start scamming other members. Absolutely untrue.
I have no interest in TRF and don't know their rules, but I can assure you that members of WUS need to have at least 100 meaningful posts AND be members for at least 90 days before posting in their sales section. And believe me the Mods there interpret the meaningful post criteria rather differently to the Mods here.
So at the end of the day, I see no reason to believe that you're more likely to be scammed by private sellers there than you are here.
Secondly, @Scarecrow Boat also inferred that the Watches for Sale Forum is for trusted, reputable dealers only that sell new watches with the warranty, also untrue. Most watches sold by dealers there are used.
Finally, to answer your question as to whether I was insinuating that buying on this forum is any riskier than buying on other forums, no I wasn't.
All I was saying was that members should not post misleading information without checking first.
Stick around here for another three months, you'll soon get a feel for who you should or shouldn't trust on the forum.

So you verified what I said is untrue though you don't know the rules? Maybe what I said about WUS was a little loose but I have come across numerous threads on OF basically referring to WUS as a at your own risk when comparing to other forums. As a member of TRF I have seen countless for sale posts from members with a 0 post count. Comparing that information to everything I have gathered on OF (I have been a very long lurker on this forum despite my recent join date) I would trust OF to purchase watches/parts more than any other forum. That is the information I shared.

Secondly, @Scarecrow Boat also inferred that the Watches for Sale Forum is for trusted, reputable dealers only that sell new watches with the warranty, also untrue.
Let me share with you some pictures pulled from this forum regarding the Watches for Sale section-

What I had told @Gwgroove was the Watches for Sale section of this group is from trusted sellers. You are saying I am wrong. Please enlighten me how I am wrong. I don't recall saying ALL watches are brand new but instead "dealers that sell genuine brand new." The fact is that yes, SOME watches in that section are used BUT those used watches come with warranties and are from dealers. AND a very large population of the watches in that section are new. As in, brand new unworn 2019/2020 watches. So please, again, enlighten me on my misinformation. How is what I said untrustworthy?
Stick around here for another three months, you'll soon get a feel for who you should or shouldn't trust on the forum.
Why don't you get off your high horse and be a better contributing member to this group? Another member commented above (it was deleted) saying this is just who you are, and it's true. Searching your name in the forum yields countless results of your one line answers like "How wrong you are on just about everything you just stated." without any follow up. Those responses create more fear and anxiety especially in a new member that is trying to spend a lot of money. I think your character/personality in this forum mixed with "attacking" my posts (even though they are truthful) show who really can and can't be trusted.

Also, this was shared by you today. Despite the root of the comment being a joke, you are still painting a picture to the reliability of the other forums you were defending above. You say I am untrustworthy?
