Adam (Adam78) and I got together last week at a local Scottish pub for some good food, some camaraderie and some watch ogling, not necessarily in that order! Thought I'd share some of the photos with the forum as there were some very nice watches in attendance.

Adam was wearing his new Nomos Ahoi Atlantik Datum, with the in-house Zeta caliber...

Pictures do not do this watch justice, the movement on this is outstanding!

Adam also brought some spectacular pieces...

First time seeing one of these in the flesh, very cool watch. And the alarm is much louder than I thought it would be, especially when set flat on the table. Think I need to own one of these at some point!

I'm having a hard time digesting that this amazing set of vintage watches involved only a two person GTG! Fantastic pictures.

    Outstanding collections and photos!

Vintage aside (and there many lovely vintage watches there), this thread has got me thinking Nomos again. A lotta watch for the money!

Stunning collection........the place also had perfect lighting for taking picture. Kudos.
As much fun as discussion in our forum, it is a GTG like this that will make us appreciate our hobby even more.

Thanks all. We sure made sure to get a "window seat", the rest of the pub was quite dark! Ed, great photos!

2 Guys, a pub and an incredible collection of horological delights. I thought there must have been 20 or 30 WIS's there.

Hijak, my pick, that lovely Sinn of yours... Yep, I'd be happy with that. Simply beautiful.

But then I do question why I always find myself drawn to Nomos.. Something about that styling. Perhaps it highlights the new age man in me, or is that simply wishful thinking... .. Regardless, they always strike my desire..

About once a week or so I'll garner a "nice watch" comment from a stranger as I casually look down and notice his dreadful Michael Kors timepiece. It must be nice to sit down with a fellow enthusiast who truly understands and appreciates what a "nice watch" really means. Great pictures and yeah, great watches. I'll be looking through these pictures a few times. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Adam...the window seat was a key factor in how the pictures came out. A little natural daylight and my little point and shoot will do wonders!
I am very grateful to you Adam as I have learned much from you. I appreciate, as I'm sure others here do, you're excellent eye for vintage time pieces!

Thanks Yande, It was fun to get to see so many fine watches at one time...my only regret was that we didn't take a group shot of the whole bunch, next time I guess.

Again thanks...that Sinn was purchased from Al of Archer watches after a full service by him. I have it on my wrist as I type this and just love it, such nice detail and it keeps incredible time. I also have to comment on Adams Nomos...once again, pictures just don't do this piece justice! The camera can not capture the detail of the dial or the beauty of that in-house movement, it needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate its significance. Some of you are considering a Nomos, go look at one in the flesh and you will not be disappointed (or leave the store without one ;) ).
