Just landed today, over the moon with it!! Personal preference I know, but the patina for me is on point! Lovely khaki caramel colour Looks to have a later 70’s service crown and replacement 1035 bracelet but still has the no.6 end links. Apart from that it looks to my novice eye relatively untouched? Going to leave the cheese/ crud for the time being of course, going down to Simon Freese for a service next week. Always happy to get a little feedback, good and bad
Very nice! Loads of vintage charm going on there, even the service parts look vintage. Simon will sort it out and it'll look and run even better. Be nice to see it again after it's had clean up.
Ummm... the title of the thread? I assume you've seen the inside of the case-back and it says 105-003-63. I don't think anyone is suggesting it was delivered in 1963 without seeing a serial number or extract.
Sorry, I was totally engrossed in looking at the photos that I completely missed out on the thread title.
I believe the earliest 105.003-63s come with No-T dial (very rare) and some with asymmetrical T dials that the "T"s appear to be added later. I couldn't tell the OP's though other than the thread title
Very nice pick and a great bad a$$ bezel! Just a question about this khaki/caramel cookie on indices cause it looks like there’s no tritium anymore on the dial. I had exactly the same kind of color on a 105.012-64 but it did not look original at all. Would you have additional pictures?
You will have to share a photo after Ed's time at the spa so we can see the before and after. Congrats on the new beauty!
