Went to the Moon exhibition at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich today. This was on display. It’s a great exhibition so if you’re available it’s well worth a visit before it closes in a few weeks.
Thank you for sharing! Given the bezel, dial, and hands, coupled with the fact that most other Apollo lunar mission watches exhibited retain their correct original parts (e.g., https://airandspace.si.edu/collection-objects/chronograph-cernan-apollo-17), perhaps this is the watch Pete Conrad wore for his Skylab 2 / SLM-1 mission in 1973?
Thanks for posting this. I am not a Speedy nut (although of course I have one and love it) but the differences between the Conrad watch and the Cernan watch are interesting - enough to help me understand why so many of our OF colleagues enjoy getting into the detailed changes over so many decades of production.
