Did 105.003-64s come with non-T dials? I thought that was only on the earlier 2998s and before.

Up to 105.003-63 for non T dials as far as I know, but those are very rare. A -64 should have T I believe.

Edit: isn't that a service dial (hence no T's)?

Dial has a step, and the applied logo, which seems original-issue (but perhaps not for this watch) but here we've reached the limits of my knowledge of these things :)

I didn't think it was a step either... so did all service dials of this age come without the AML then?

If that dial's not a step, it's certainly got an interesting step-type ring right around where a step would be...

Looks like a no step to me also in the 3/4 shot where it would stand out. Also looks like the description changed to period correct.

Lets not assume the sellar is playing games... How many of these had been purchased by people that did not see that they would go up massively in 5-15 years? It got serviced sometime in the 70's and now they are selling.

Tough to tell between step or domed, but I'm definitely thinking service dial. Did the seller also change the shipping to say no shipping to the US? Only says he'll ship to the UK for sure, wonder why that is?

Hmm sure I have seen this before? I vote it has step , very tricky to recreate that line otherwise. I also think it may be an A5 dial, for a 2998?

I don't always assume the seller is a scammer/fraudster but the price is high. It's easy for someone to find or come into ownership of one of these and not really know what they have. To be fair it's easy to get a back off, see a serial and see some prices online that are high. Unless some real homework is done there's no reason he/she would know it may have a service dial, crown, bezel etc.. i just thought the price was high. If they are willing to accept and adjust the value after these things are pointed out then fair enough... and any buyer about to buy one should really know anyway.
