Note: I’m not affiliated with this company in any way, I just thought this was cool and wanted to share. Mods, feel free to remove if needed.

Just found out about these and am curious to hear your thoughts. Looks awesome, should be more scratch-resistant, and easily reversible for when you need a service. Price feels a little steep so I'll probably wait to find one secondhand.

I'm sure Moonwatch purists will disagree but I'd absolutely love for Omega to do a ceramic/lumed bezel like this on the next generation of the sapphire model Speedy Pro.

Very cool looking mod. It is kind of funny though considering nobody is using the Tachymetre anyway, never mind using it in the dark. I suppose I am a bit of a purist as I wouldn’t want to see it on the standard Moonwatch but it’s nice to have options.

Interesting installation instructions...for the 1861 models:

"Fitment is simple – Remove your old bezel by placing the bezel tip of the included tool between the aluminum bezel and the midcase. Pressing it inwards and upwards will release the aluminum bezel. The bezel will then need to be pressed in place by utilizing a bezel press."

And for the 3861 models:

"Fitment is simple – Remove your old bezel by placing the bezel tip of the included tool between the aluminum bezel and the midcase. Pressing it inwards and upwards will release the aluminum bezel. The ceramic bezel can then be pressed into place by hand.

Be sure to remove the original grey bezel gasket and store it with your original bezel."

So on the 1861 models, which do require a press to install when new, they say a press is needed. But on the 3861 you are removing the gasket that holds the original bezel on and not using it, and just hand pressing this new bezel on. I would be a little concerned about how well that will stay in place...

I wonder where it is made?
