Hi, Have been looking in vain for a 60's Connie but am starting to grow weary reviewing over-polished, under-serviced examples. So have decide to cast a wider net. I'm drawn to the Chronostop. The examples I've seen appear to offer better value and appear to have more "genuine" wear. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated on these examples in order to calibrate my diagnoses... Lot No 1 - Well worn but has the lovely mesh bracelet, reasonable dial and a clean interior https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-...h=item286d2adf0f:g:rz0AAOSwJppbnm9y:rk:3:pf:0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Lot No.2 - Nice blue dial and that mesh bracelet again, quite sharp case, no pix of movement though and expensive to boot https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-...=item2aba505f3c:g:OHUAAOSw7fxb2yXq:rk:22:pf:0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Lot No.3 - Heavier wear to case, probably over-polished, non omega strap? and no pix of movement https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Omega-Ch...h=item1a64341fd8:g:cr4AAOSwfONb3jv0:rk:6:pf:0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Lot No.4 Reasonable wear but suspicious that case back is not original and the Ohm symbol on dial looks dull https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-ch...h=item33f8f5077d:g:bFEAAOSwzc1btzfr:rk:7:pf:0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Lot No.1 best of the bunch?
They are all way overpriced. 3 and 4 over polished as well. Be patient. Have you seen one of these in the flesh? They are a little smaller than you might think.
Currently just fishing in the ebay pond so not seen any in the flesh as they are all too far afield But finding the feedback at the forum an excellent way of getting my eye in. So far almost nearly all feedback is telling me most are overpriced - which begs the question: where are you guys getting your prices from? Are you UK based? If you can recommend any online outlets I'd love to hear but expect the bargains are hidden amongst the house clearance auctions and inheritance gifts... Thanks for the support in the meantime.
To be honest I'm I'd rather pay over the top so long as it is an genuine, sharp, mechanically sound item.
The most important factor I look for is Case quality. Unpolished cases are what I like. Dial quality is also important. I like vintage dials but depending on condition. And attainiblity of parts. Also brand.
