Did we talk about this one yet ? https://www.gshock.com/watches/limi...U7YYSTqIhjQnXMSHwMlcFgFvnly162IlDuVZ1itBHgK2A
Me too! I spotted the post on Hodinkee's Instagram. Immediately I clicked over to G-Shock and had it in my cart for 5 min while I waffled. Like most of you, I realized I was just buying for hype and wouldn't likely ever wear it.
Ah the 10 year old in me would have parted with my allowance immediately but the adult sees it turning yellow, gray, or black in short order. I’m like pigpen and I can’t have white things.
I almost justified it by getting it for my son. Be he's two, so he also wouldn't have worn it right now, lol.
Probably not for me but it’s also backorder only now. “Due to overwhelming demand, another shipment is on the way” says the site. More of the “limited edition” on the way! So maybe only somewhat limited?
White looks great on expensive or sporty cars. On anything else they look like fleet specials. the most baller thing I ever saw was a tan 512bb
Hahaha, we're like two birds of a feather. That was part of my decision making process as well. While my 7yo loves space I recently got my son a 1980's Casio that he loves. No reason to overwhelm him with lots of watches and options. I did show it to him later to see if I made the wrong choice. He was all like, "Oh, that's cool," with a dismissive shrug.
That is of course ignoring the fact that white is the single most popular car color sold for the past decade I assume?
I feel like this could be said about black cars too. Having owned both, I would pick white over black all day long. But it also depends on the car...
Let's not forget the Casio Databank Calculator version DBC610 as worn by cosmonaut Aleksandr Viktorenko on three space missions: Soyuz TM-3 (1987), Soyuz TM-8 (1989) and Soyuz TM-14 (1992) .
