·Someone might have forced an oversized bar in between the lugs, happened with a 351 bumper I picked up with a stretch band. I sacrificed the band but that's not an option for you. Wish I could offer some constructive advice.
I wondering the same thing. The springbar might be too long for those lugs. Happened to one of my speedys. Took a lot of effort to remove it. Mine was on a band and not a bracelet, so was easier to navigate.
