Can you think of a movie that would be a crime if you did not see it ?

This thread is expectedly Hollywood/Anglo centric, allow me to balance with something different.

1) Cinema Paradiso (with music scrolls by Ennio Morricone)
2) Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (with music scrolls by Ryuichi Sakamoto)

And a bunch of Wong Kawai classics (he hand picked the music scrolls himself)
1) Chunking Express
2) Happy Together
3) Days of Being Wild
4) In the mood for love
5) the Grandmaster (for kungfu movie, this is hard to beat)

Unbelievable that this is 70 years old. Kathleen Byron looks straight out of the present day. Demented, terrifying and worryingly sexy.

Man... this just looks demented, what the hell?

Not sure when this was taken... but she definitely had it!

Being Canadian ... I gotta suggest a couple with Cdn actor Paul Gross.
Gunless is just a feel good, make you laugh movie.

and Passchendaele ... an epic war story.

Ran into Paul Gross at the Stratford Festival last year when we went to see Macbeth. He wasn't in this one, just there to see it. We did see him play Hamlet a number of years ago, and he was great.

Another good movie of his is the recent Hyena Road...and of course Men With Brooms is a classic curling movie.
