For a number of years I've enjoyed owning this ETA 7751 watch which was sold as an "apprentice piece", I've even had the watch serviced to ensure it has a reliable future.

The caseback is signed MICA or MICQ ETA7751: googling doesn't give me any useful pointers on the meaning of MICA: can you guys help me please?

Pretty standard school watch - worked on several different types myself. This is what students would either work on in school or use for exams.

Thank you @Archer. From your experience would students have been likely to work on the movement, I want to imagine them doing more than a "combining components " job with case, crystal, dial, hands etc.

Yes, when I worked on watches like these we did a full service.
