Can you help me identify this watch ?

    My dad got this watch while working in Libya in the 1980-1990s, I have no other information about it.

    Style looks right for the time period you mentioned.

    I can tell you that your father worked for Mobil Oil Company (now ExxonMobil). That’s their Pegasus logo on the dial.

    Do you know if the movement is quartz or mechanical?

    I think it's mechanical, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Pretty easy to find out. Wind the crown. If nothing happens, it's either quartz or broken. In that case, get it to a watchmaker to check out.

    If it starts running, then it's almost certainly mechanical. Even if mechanical. it probably needs maintenance.
