Can you help identify my fathers old omega seamaster Geneve

Hi all, first time poster my father has decided to give me his old seamaster geneve he was given when he was 12 (now 65), I’m somewhat new to watches and I can’t seem to find much info on this model could anyone help out with some info or year ?

Nice gift. Get it serviced by a competent local watchmaker (approx £150 in the UK) and it’ll carry on for another fifty years

Thanks guys, will read the forum guidelines, I will try to have a look in the case, any idea why the seamaster is to the top of the dial, It appears in most other models it is located on the lower half of the dial?

The answer to that is Omega always positioned the "Seamaster" in the lower half of the dial.

Except when they didn't, which was often.

As the Seamaster and the Genève were essentially the same watch in that era, there were quite a few models branded Seamaster Genève.
