Hey everyone,

I am new to the Omega world. I was a former Rolex fanboy and I just hate what the brand became so I wanna put my money in to Omega watches where I can actually BUY them at a AD for MSRP.

I love the Omega Globemaster annual calendar https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/...onometer-annual-calendar-41-mm-13033412202001 BUT would want it on a steel bracelet. The bracelet for the normal Globemaster won't fit on the annual calendar Globemaster but does anyone know if a different omega bracelet will fit?

Thank you for all the help.

Never seen one on a Omega steel bracelet. Send an email to the Omega support, they are very fast and will get back to you quickly.
Maybe you can find something compatible non OEM.

Turning from a Rolex fanboy to an Omega fanboy might be a painful reality check.
Try to buy a steel 321 or the last Snoopy 馃槈

Call an Omega Boutique and ask. They will most definitely have an answer for you.

The lug width is 20mm for both the Annual Calendar and the regular Globemaster. But the case height is different between the 2 models. An OB can validate whether the bracelet on the regular GM is compatible with this more complicated model.

The bracelet on the Globemaster is very heavy though. It'll weigh around the same as a SD 43, or 6-digit Bluesy on the wrist. I generally prefer my Globemaster on leather, except when wearing in hot summer months.

Depending on your wrist size, and how the bracelet contours to your risk, you might encounter a middle-link gap issue. Not a product defect by any means, but just a visual characteristic that some folks on this forum and Robert-Jan at Fratello have noted. In several pictures in this article, especially the 1 with a building in the background, you can see that black gap appear. https://www.fratellowatches.com/omega-globemaster-review/#gref

This is due to the Globemaster bracelet not having flat links like Rolex oyster or other bracelets in Omega's line-up. But instead an inverted trapezoid shape. This also causes the watch case to be suspended in air, when resting the watch face up. I think Royal Oaks and Overseas also share this characteristic, due to their integrated bracelets' design? Took me a while to get used to this, as I'm used to Subs, Seamasters, or Speedies where the bracelet's clasp creates a little nest for the watch case, when resting dial-up.

Welcome to OmegaForums, and the brand! p.s. NEVER pay MSRP for Omega watches, except on some limited editions. You can find the majority of them on sale from AD's or greys for 20 - 40% off MSRP, brand new in box with manufacturer warranty.

What I would give to have the snoopy. My dogs name is Snoopy so it's a match made in heaven.

Thank you for the pictures and that is one reason why I am leaving the Rolex brand. I just paid 9K including tax for a 93 submariner (birthyear) and I love it but it kills me I paid over MSRP for a watch 27 years old.

Is that in terms of resale or quality?

I am facing a similar dilemma although I paid RRP for my DJ36 in October, I have just bought the Seamaster 300 in ti under RRP and am thinking of selling the DJ36. The Rolex was the only one in the AD so I bought it. I love the Omega brand and have owned them on and off since the 1980's. MLFP8LK.jpg

My first "good" watch was an Omega Seamaster.

The Omega sells for the same RRP here as the Rolex Submariner. I think the quality is pretty equal?

From the research I have done, Omega has better or the same quality for less money.

I think the Omega suits my wrist better and I only bought the Datejust because it was the only one in the AD. I think that the fact that I wanted a sub kinda answers my question about which to keep.

You should probably start a new thread rather than resurrecting one that's a year and a half old.
