So I just bought this omega constellation, and now I want to verify it (I bought it because I liked it and got a good price), this is also my first omega. Could someone help me find the exact model/refrence no.

The serial no. On the movement is 15437533 and is calibre 503 by the looks of it

Wrong movement and really badly repainted dial sadly, that’s a really rough watch and not worth much

The case number (model number) it started life with will be stamped on the inside of the caseback you show above. It'll probably be a 4 digit number something like 2852. The rest as already noted is a collection of parts, some nice some not so nice. If you paid a few hundred I guess you can wear it and enjoy it then part it out if you need to or sell it on to some other noob who likes the dial but doesn't realise its not original.

Note as an indication that this has seen some serious intervention, be aware that movement 503 has a date feature and is not chronometer rated so doesn't exactly belong with this dial...

Too much money paid for this one... 😉
If you like vintage Omegas stay here on Omegaforums and post your potential next watch before buying.

I posted this yesterday about a similar condition 168.005, these watches are put together from whatever is handy and sold in the hopes that they can get 2-3x the value of the parts that went into them back. 600 quid is a lot for what we’re looking at in those photos.

Welcome to OF @Devon.ebanks

Did you buy it from a private seller or a dealer.?
How was it described?

If you can return it that would be the best course of action.

First, LOVE your voice for this sorta thing! I've not heard it before.

Second, that level of analysis of these things is great! I try to do that sort of analysis when I can, but we need to be able to post that a bunch when people ask "well, what is it worth anyway?".
