This is not all of mine (but most). I think it still qualifies.

Despite giving up multiple watches for three new Rolex, my total number has gone up by over a dozen.

Yep... I think that qualifies as a plethora of watches.

My text is still true. I think I got it just before my "Ascent of Omega Man" - possibly the most creative thing I've ever done 😁

Mrs STANDY once said “open a can of ass worms” instead of “open a can of whoopass “ 😁

There was once some back-country guy who came here asking for info on his grandfathers speedy (was on one of those funky stone-crusted-bangle-like bracelets, red-injun style). It was a beautiful 105.012. He had pictures of the movement and case back, which was odd seeing as he knew nothing about his watch. It was noticed that there were some serious idiot marks on the caseback (gauges/dings in one of the holes for opening, and a few scratches leading off that). When asked how he got his caseback open, he replied ‘I used a hammer, a chisel, and my fingers🤦

I don’t believe he is active here since then, but always thought that the perfect text for the perfect candidate...

In fact, the avatar text bestowed upon us by the Divine Powers is quite entertaining.

Also, the google search "I don't see any option in settings or profile" gives exactly one result. Yay!

It is a quirky, random, unjust and funny feature of OF; part of the charm!

*Including the original ranter who misspelled it as “pratts” during his (very very short) tenure as a member. The squirrel often wore iron-clad boots in those times.

Also a High Street establishment in days of yore.

But ranter’s sentiment (and mine) are clearly one “t”🫨

My OED also gives
2 the buttocks [16th C cant, origin unknown]

which leads to
Pratfall noun US slang 1 a fall on the buttocks. 2 a humiliating failure.

In the UK prat is a more damning insult than another common one muppet.
