Can friction-fit chrono pushers be re-used?

I have a ref. 105.012’s; that has original pushers, that I’d like to remove and use on a better example that has replacement pushers.

Can this be done or is it inadvisable to do so? Once they’ve been in a watch, and you remove them, have they lost enough material to make the fit loose?

I’ve not tried this personally, but I think they would work. I would suggest using some Loctite retaining compound.

I see that "watch optimization" is alive and well (as @Bill Sohne would say).
