Has the dial been repainted in any way?

 

It has, see how crappy "Seamaster" is written.

The dial is really ugly, no fine art of Swiss watchmaking to be seen

Yep, definitely a redial, spacing between the O and M in automatic is not right either.

 

Of course it is horribly repainted

I’m still learning to tell but yeah you can tell quite daily by the mess they made on seamaster. How did you come across, was it presented as original or you just picked it up.

Its a listing on ebay I found, but something didn't look right to me and I wanted opinions on it. I still learning about the ways to tell if they're repainted. I had a hunch it was and I was a right. Thanks for your help.

I’m learning.... looking at the e... it’s not on the correct slant with correct loop spacing.
