Hi folks, I've put in my time searching 'rare omega bracelet' threads and doing google image searches and have come up empty, so if this turns out to be common knowledge then I would ask that you please direct your complaints to the Google Corp. I can't for the life of me figure out when/where this bracelet comes from, and on which watch it belongs. Anyone care to take a stab at this?
If I'd been handing out a prize for the fastest answer I would have doubled it for you, Toishome. Thanks so much!
So a US market Speedy Mk II would fit the bill, I'm assuming? (And the missing 'Hecho en Mexico' stamp is no big deal either way?)
It does say J/M so that is good enough to know is Mexican. It would be better I guess if it goes on a Mexican delivered watch but I am really fussy like that
I was going off memory of one I had seen on eBay recently. It was advertised as Speedy Mark 4 or 4.5 Looks like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Omega-Speedmaster-Mark-4-or-4-5-Bracelet-/202738515670Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Yup, looks right. So then probably a safe assumption that it was matched with Southern US/Mexico-delivered watches from the Mark IV era and beyond, possibly including some later Mark IIs. Whatever the case, thanks for chiming in everybody! Much obliged for your insight.
