Can anyone tell me anything about this watch? It was my fathers and he wore it every day, certainly from the mid to late 60s (my earliest memories)

Yeap you're gonna have to open her up to get more info on it. Btw the watch is beautiful, and looks to be in great shape!

You will need to take it to a watchmaker to open up. All the information is on the inside of the case.

Except for a ref, possibly, as you taught me in „my“ thread. 😉

Very nice elegant dress watch. What a great heirloom.

Of the countless father, grandfather and uncle watches that have been posted in this forum, this untouched one's got to be up there in the top 5%. My guess is it contains a 280-series movement.

Thanks Edward53, I really like the watch but it looks a bit small on my wrist. My dad's wrist must have been a lot smaller than mine, the strap won't go anywhere near

Nice watch! Although I find the bracelet to be very lovely, these types can make a watch like this seem even smaller on the wrist. Just putting it on a nice leather or croc strap will bulk it up a bit.

I've got my Dad's watch, it's a Tissot Seastar. I'll never wear it but I'll never sell it either.
