Omega Geneve scientific dial Crosshair? Stainless steel manual wind?
I think around 1969??
Can anyone give help with it's age, what it is exactly and any value?
The dial and lume are great but strap a rubbish non original and case has scratches and dints.

Have you got a photo of the back? Is it 32mm or 34mm?

Hi David, thanks for replying. I have a photo of the back... quite scratched, well used! I can't verify 32mm or 34mm as just sent off for an appraisal. I'd guess the 32mm but guesses are not helpful! It's been owned in the family for over 50 years but I don't have the original box or strap and I can't trace it's original purchase date. I've had it for 30 years in a drawer...
Not sure if I will keep or sell yet, but will be getting it back from appraisal...

As I suspected it looks like the 32mm version of its snap on rather than screw on caseback.
Value for the 34mm version is around £1000, possibly more in very good condition.
The 32mm version, likely half that.

That's so helpful, David, thank you. I've sent off for appraisal but estimate at £200-300. It has sentimental value so not sure I will sell but wondered if that was a bit of a rip off.. It's a lovely little vintsge and still keeps perfect time. I did take it to a wtch specialist but he said £300 to take the back off to get to the serial number, ehich seemed excessive and I didn't trust not to damage...
You have amazing knowledge, do you have an idea of date? From family, I'd guess around 1969, but it's just an educated guess.

I’d say around 68-69.

I’d say it’s more like £400. Perhaps £500 on a good day if it’s in good condition. The 32mm case really holds it back against the full size 34mm version.

Seems that I might have got the year near enough.. The dial itself is very good for age, the lume is all still there and the face really quite good for age, the glass is a bit scartched and the case has a minor dint and the back is worn/a bit scratched so a mixed bag really. Fully working order though and been put away since the 80s so wear was from initial use and it's been in the same family ownership... I had no idea that there were 2 sizes, that's interesting. I liked it's size when I did wear it but appreciate value wise it's the least desirable.
