Hi all,
I believe this Pan Am looks good but wondering if there’s any Gruen heads out there that could confirm for me.
Thanks so much!

I'm not an expert, but do own several Pan Ams, and that looks correct, with the possible exception of the crown.

If you have more photos, I could form a more confident opinion.

IIRC that would be a Pan American "Ace".

Yours is the third from the left, and if you can read the find print below, you will see that it is an "Ace". There were a variety of sub-model names.

Crown could be correct
Mine is from circa 1943

Ok yes looks the same I think.
Wow is yours ever nice!!
I heard Gruens are difficult to date - how did you determine ‘43?

Oh sorry I certainly wasn’t doubting you, that’s excellent thanks for the link there.
Well I think I just may jump on it - it’s USD 450

No harm, no foul......I did not take it as doubt....but my recollection sometimes is fuzzy and I always welcome correction.

From what I read (on the internet so take with a grain of salt) and from my own experience is the PanAm was ‘45-‘49. The company changed hands in ‘49 and “Switzerland” at the bottom changed to “Swiss” and the product line-up changed- the PanAm was dropped. So there is a very narrow window on these.
