·Which app is this?
Watchtracker. It requires good hand eye coordination to tap the screen at the exact moment that your watch is showing a certain time that you told the app it was showing, then the app compares that time to atomic time to see how far apart you are. Each time you do this, it can see if you are drifting forward or backward in time and how many sec/day that is gaining or losing on average.
So, you will have more errors if your hand eye coordination is bad and you take measurements too close to each other - instead of checking it every 2-3 hours it’s best to wait 8-12 hours or more between checking it, like when you wake up and go to bed.
In my case, I might only check 3-7 times a week, if I don!t put it back in the safe after I’m done wearing it. And I might check a watch if it’s been in the safe for a long time, just to see if it’s changing much over time as it gets closer to it’s time for a service and oils dry out.
For the longest time I kept most of my favorite watches on a winder, for months at a time, until I became convinced that I might actually be causing more wear on a watch’s parts when I might only wear it once a month. I feel better storing them in the safe now, and winding/setting them when I take them out to wear.
