A big part of why the Calibre 135 has a cult following among collectors, and this can also be said for Universal Geneve to some extent too, is that it represents remarkably good quality, precision and significance at a price that is still reasonable.

·I think that the guilloche on the dial, and especially on the movement, detracts from the design. The circular brushing on the ratchet wheel is also an odd departure from the original radial finish.
