First time owning a manual wind movement, how often should one wind the Cal.861 and how often should I do it (i.e. power reserve)? Does it stop or experience higher resistance as its fully wound? Concerned with overwinding and breaking something

    Thanks!

Just wind it at the same time each day (when you put it on).

Get used to the normal feel of the crown as you wind, when you feel a change in resistance it will be fully wound.
From fully unwound it may take about 40 "winds" to fully wound, depending on how you turn the crown.
Normal fingers and commonsense are unlikely to break the mainspring.

Yep, wind it once a day. It'll stop winding when it's fully wound - it won't be difficult to tell when as you'd really need to force it past that point. You'll get used to it by day 2 :)

Thanks for the direction, wound it today all the way until the crown stopped.

    Btw is the 861 a non-hacking movement?

You can lightly reverse the crown for hacking

On some... not all will do it.
