Cal. 505 galloping ticking

Hi everyone,

I have a Connie Ref. 2852, Cal. 505.

The movement is very accurate (around +5 secs per day), but it seems to tick differently depending on the angle I hold it. I have uploaded 2 sound files, one normal ticking and one very strange, galloping ticking. The watch will switch from one type of ticking to another as I slowly rotate it around...

Apologies for the inconvenience but you’ll need to increase volume on your devices to hear the ticking better:

Is this a cause for concern? Does anyone know what could be wrong? Should I bring it to my watchmaker?

Thank you for your time!

Find out what position the watch is in when you hear the “strange ticking” sound. Wind the watch fully, manually (35 or 40 twists of the crown), set the watch to your reference time source, and find a way to secure the watch in the position it was in when you heard the strange sound. Let it run for 24 hours in that position, and compare the 24-hour rate with the normal rate. If they are the same, or close, I think you don’t have a problem. Please don’t ask what might cause the sound difference.

I actually listened to those sound files. What is wrong with me? I couldn't resist. And now my laptop is running slow when I hold it sideways.
