I have a chance to pick up a real nice Omega Aqua Terra with the caliber 2500 movement in it. I get the impression there were a number of different versions of the 2500 movement. I also get the impression that there were troubles with some of the early Omegas with this caliber movement in them. Should I wait for a later version? This one is marked 2500, with no indication it might be a later version. For resale, do the later versions bring a better dollar? Thx.

Closer examination of the movement tells me it is a 2500 B caliber. This was followed by a C model, and a D model. This series was replaced by the improved 8500 series, about 10 years or so ago. So this watch appears to be a fairly early one. I have read enough on these co-axial movements that I have concluded that I won’t be buying this one. Thanks for your help.
