I have a Omega geneve with a cal 1461 that went all the way to Omega Swiss and it was sent back with a note saying they can't fix it. What I'm trying to figure out is can a cal 1481 be installed in its place or will the parts interchange? This watch means a great deal to me and any help would be much appreciated.

 

Are you sure it's a calibre 1461? I don't find anything for that calibre number. Did Omega give you any idea what is wrong with it?

A 1481 is based on the 1480 and all the parts are listed as either 1480 parts or 1481 specific so, it's unlikely that they would be transferrable to a lower number calibre.

Do you have a movement photo as that would confirm the 1461 identification?
