Interestingly, one also finds both 2 and 3 register chronographs with the base Excelsior Park cal 40 movements. Unlike Valjoux for example, it seems that they didn't give them distinct caliber numbers.

so the register is legit. Seller says it’s rarer because of the 3 dials. He’s trying to get better pics. Seems like reasonable price. I don’t have one of these so it may work out

I think it's legit, and the 3 sub-dial format is definitely less common. All things being equal, I think it makes this reference a bit more desirable. I wish the photos were better. You can get a decent sense of the condition of the dial, but not really the case.

As I mentioned, it depends on the condition, which I can't determine. The price is low for a Zenith 143-6, but the dial looks to be rough. I just can't tell how rough, and I also can't judge the case. It's going to be your call. If you like it, try to get the best deal you can, and take a shot. Maybe it will be nicer than you expect. Sometimes you just need to take a risk.

he said it looks great and agreed his pictures didn’t help. I think he’ll do $1000. I may meet up with him since I need to go to Toronto anyway

I tend to think that's a pretty good price for this watch. Hopefully it looks nice in person and won't be too much of a project. Good luck! Fortune favors the bold.

He’s upset it didn’t get any bids. I think he was hoping for it to go high. Now he says he has to think about it. Oh well. That’s life

Will he meet in person and do a cash deal? Saves him fees and a lot of trouble. And he already has a data-point on value.

I offered. He said he’s reconsidering selling as he’s disappointed in the outcome. I don’t know what he was expecting with those pics. Wait and see now.

Well, at least you can make an offer now.
