I have always assumed this CI bracelet to be fake. It doesn't have the Rolex feel or finish I would expect.
Hopefully more informed members here can confirm or amend my opinion.
Thanks in advance.

Have you handled other river oyster bracelets previously? Like early Speedmaster bracelets they tend to feel cheap to those unfamiliar with them.

Thanks for your input.@ X350 XJR . No I haven't handled one of these before. It also seems to be in very good condition for 66 which makes me suspiscious. The end pieces seem cheap and nasty to my eye but having had no experiance with these I am clueless.

It looks good to me. Those old rivet bracelets are a bit flimsy feeling, but they really do work well and don’t add too much weight to the watch. I’ve grown to like them. My first Rolex bracelet was a 93150, so it took a long time to adjust.

Yep...it’s real

C+I are pretty shitty when compared to a more modern bracelet, but still wear great.

Guys thank you for your valued input this has been most usefull.
This bracelet came from a Gilt 5513 that my watchmaker found in Singapore. He spent some time ascertaining the credibilty of the piece, geiger ect case back off ect. I asked him about the bracelet he said they payed little attention to it as the watch was the issue.
I did ask myself the question why would a dealer sell to a watchmaker a Gilt 5513 with a fake bracelet, clearly that doesn't make sense .
So if anyone reading this is interested I am open to offers on the C&I rivet (11 links long).
I will later post it in the FS section.
I am very surprised that it is genuine and a bit of windfall as it nearly went in the bin !!!
Below is the 5513 that it came from. The dial is not as good as it looks in this pic, it has spider lines and 75% of the minute track laquer is gone.
Even so it is my favorite piece to wear.

Keep it...

If it came on the watch and is most likely original, then you should wear it.

While they are flimsy and the end links suck, they are period correct and have a lot of charm.

Someone will pay good money, as that is a gilt era date.

Thanks again @watchnut. I will consider keeping it but as I don't intend selling the 5513 I will never use it and my estate will not likely realise the bracelet significance so it will probably go to a new owner . It appears to be in very good condition, what's it worth ?
Thanks to the forum it will live on.

Looks kosher to me, exactly as bad as a CI rivet should be!
Lol !!! Exactly my opinion.
