·SOLD to OF member. Thanks OF for the space (and for making all other watch boards look dumb).
Hi Ladies and Germs, today I'm putting this lovely circa 1951 Tissot Antimagnetique up for sale. Oversized 35mm case not including crown. Manual wind Caliber 27 movement running roughly 24 seconds slow per day as of today (as you can see in the attached Timegrapher screenshot). Nice full stainless case (not chrome plated as many of these are). I'm guessing it has been polished at some point but presents nice IMO. Lovely original hands and dial, with what I think is a little radium burn around the 2-3 hour markers, visible at some angles, but otherwise excellent. All original as far as I know (blank crown is correct during this time as I understand it). Included in the price is is the high-quality light gray textured leather strap and decloyant clasp.
This watch had a full service in 2019 from A Step Back in Time in Laguna Beach California; necessary as the watch had stopped working and Arthur at the shop recommended it be fully serviced. Movement photo below was taken just before service. The total cost of the service was $360, but sadly I don’t have and cannot locate the paperwork. I know that someone claiming a full service without paperwork is usually BS, but for what it’s worth, I’m not a BSer and assume you this is accurate. The watch has been worn no more than a few hours since that 2019 service.
I have 20 years of perfect eBay feedback (ID rustyfrets). Also at least one OF sale and a recent one from Reddit.
$400 + shipping, refunds accepted within 3 days after delivery if I have grossly misrepresented the watch. Venmo, Zelle, ACH, wire all acceptable.
