·Hello people
I was looking for a vintage omega to buy and I don't want to spend a lot of money. I found a listing online, that looks quite alright . Now I would like to hear some opinions of people with much more knowledge than myself.
The watch comes with the calibre 265. I couldn't find much information about it, but it seems it is from 1949. Should beat at 18'000 bph and come with the breguet hairspring and incabloc shock protection. Have no clue about the power reserve thou.
The seller said the watch is in great condition and works, and it is from the 1960s. He does not know the last service and if there were made any modifications to the watch.
If I decide to buy it I will go there myself to check it out in person of course, also to see how accurate it is running. Do you think that 500 dollars would be a good price? And are there any other things to consider?
Thanks in advance for any advice :^)
