Buying Vintage Omega

Hello people
I was looking for a vintage omega to buy and I don't want to spend a lot of money. I found a listing online, that looks quite alright . Now I would like to hear some opinions of people with much more knowledge than myself.
The watch comes with the calibre 265. I couldn't find much information about it, but it seems it is from 1949. Should beat at 18'000 bph and come with the breguet hairspring and incabloc shock protection. Have no clue about the power reserve thou.
The seller said the watch is in great condition and works, and it is from the 1960s. He does not know the last service and if there were made any modifications to the watch.
If I decide to buy it I will go there myself to check it out in person of course, also to see how accurate it is running. Do you think that 500 dollars would be a good price? And are there any other things to consider?
Thanks in advance for any advice :^)

I have no idea if it’s is just a hard light reflection, but I would want to make sure the gold cap on the top right (inside) lug hadn’t been worn through.

I believe the dial has been replaced. The serial number on the movement is 11 million, meaning it was made in the late 40s, but that style of dial (sunburst with baton indices) was not common until the 60s, I believe. I could be wrong, and I'm happy to be corrected.

Even if. Considering the age of that beauty with it's drilled lugs I would scoop it up for half a yard.

For that price? Not much to lose there, I'd say. I'd get it in a heart beat.

Looks like a lovely watch, but as someone said likely a service dial. To me it looks like a genuine Omega later service dial. However the overall condition is very good, and at that price it’s a lovely looking vintage mechanical watch.
