I thinks is ok. £2400. Full set including original receipt, buying from original owner.
The one in Watchfinder is priced at £3,380 now

I'd be pretty pissed off if eBay stole my box, but furious if they stole the original warranty card and/or receipt.

Does anybody have an older red box. EBay got back to me and pulled out the inner and showed me it’s construction with card. Can anybody compare with an original they may have please?

thanks

The inner box tray is made of flocked cardboard, yes.

Ok. This one has a green colour backed card. Looks a little odd, as I do not have an older style box….guess it’s plausible.

I don't know about green... the box I had, the cardboard was off-white.

Even if they think it’s non original, I’m surprised it’s their policy to withhold it from the sale. Seems like you bought it, you should be able to keep it if you want

Cheekily asked somebody on eBay with an original box to send a photo. Guess what…green!

That is consistent with what I had. I thought the green would be darker.

EBay thinks it’s a replica and pointed to this green card.!

It's exactly the same as all the other boxes. Who cares what color the cardboard is?!

So

I got the watch in the end. Everything is good, pleased with everything so far, and the box is original. One last piece of advice, on one of the lugs, it looks like there’s been a small knock and made a small indent. Now it is 22 years old so I expected some honest usage. Do you think I’m being too fussy. See pic below.

My recommendation is:

take off your eye-glasses, stumble around your house or office until you have clipped it against a couple of door frames, tables, filing cabinets or whatever you can find [*]. Now it's really yours and you can wear it from now on without fear.

[*] FTAOD I'd avoid doing this in a machine shop or on a construction site.

Thanks!

do you think it’s something that can be sorted on it’s next service?

Just send it to Nesbit's or Omega factory service and it will come back looking new.
