No bracelet
No bezel
No insert

...

No problem!

😁😁😁 you are a much much more experienced collector than I am tho at least I like to think so.

In all seriousness, I’ve bought plenty of head only Rolex, as you can always source a correct bracelet. You just have to factor $750-5k into the equation.

Same with bezel inserts, save a 6542 or a red triangle from 57.

ahhh dont get me started on bezel inserts, i grabbed a tudor sub the other year ive still been trying to seek a bezel insert with the proper lume pip. back burner stuff I suppose. Suppose its the hunt that makes things interesting, once the watch is in the box its more like hmmm what to wear what to wear.

Lume pips...just buy a replacement and have it colored matched...the insert is the most important part...pips are secondary.

the aluminum insert was a later rsc replacement during a service, but yup, thanks for the advice!

I had this rolex 15037 and then later bought the rivet bracelet.

I got very very very lucky to find a rivet bracelet in yellow gold with correct end links, in basically near NOS condition. depending on what exact model you're looking for though, I think it varies in rarity and price.

As others have pointed out, Rolex is not TOO difficult to find most bracelets in (if money isn't an issue), it's more that sometimes it's difficult to find bracelets in good condition.

If you’re hyper anal-retentive then finding the correct date code will make the hunt longer and your willingness to pay more- greater. But I do give it to Rolex, their system was very well standardized early on and compatibility between some models is high- so missing bracelet isn’t a deal breaker for me.

currently there is some one selling an explorer 1 with a bracelet that would suit my needs, but atm ill wait to the dust settles since the 14270 comes in by tomorrow. they can share a bracelet for now.

An explorer can live on a black Nato and look badass. Black leather with a contrast stitch looks equally good on those. Yes a bracelet completes the look of most rolex’s But some look stellar on leather or nylon

Have done, it is possible, getting harder. Some references more difficult than others - what are you thinking?

Also, prepare yourself - the bracelet will be more expensive than you'd think, can be quite expensive.

ill need to source 501Bs and a 78790 bracelet with a later Z or U clasp code.

So I think I have the ultimate piecemeal- to add to my above post.

Bought an oyster for my OPD which came head only

Then bought the Airking that the bracelet came off of (same seller 4 months later)

Then bought a Jubille to put the OPD on so I could reunite the Airking with its bracelet

Then realized I didn’t like how monochromatic the Airking dial was in silver (silver dial/silver hands- no sunburst effect like the OPD, couldn’t read it). So bought a black dial and hands for the Airking- done!

I've done it several times. You cant always get the watch with its original bracelet. They can be expensive but you just factor it into the overall price. If you're prepared to pay they don't take long to find!!

To be honest, most of the time it's best to buy with bracelet, the $400 discount you'll have, on a sub for example, will never buy you a 93150.

Be careful there are a lot of fake bracelets out there that are very authentic looking.
