··Ash @ ΩFRight now, the Euro has reached a fairly significant low against the USD and AUD, thanks to the general mess that their collective economies are in, which made me wonder, are there good deals to be done, searching European specific eBay listings.
Just as a point of comparison, in 2008 $3000 Australian dollars bought around 1440 Euros, today it buys 2540 euros. There are two interesting points here, international listings that ebay converts into AUD and USD mean that we're bidding on the open market, and watches should still go for market value, but European only listings that are not shown on ebay.com could be going for significantly less in Euros, but more significantly, if a European seller lists a buy it now for a reasonable price in Europe (in Euros) our buying ability with AUD/USD could let us score some impressive deals.
Just keeping an eye on a few German sales out of curiosity that have bids on them already and are ending soon.
