My dad is helping me remodel my first house and as a thank you I am thinking of buying him a watch. His current watch is a Tissot that is barely functioning after many years of daily wear, and that's including during many DYI projects that have rendered the sub-dial plungers and bezel useless. I would love to be able to buy him an Omega but my budget is $500 and I think he would rather have a watch that he doesn't have to take off when working with 2x4's or concrete. So what is the best casual sport/dive watch you would recommend?
TAG Heuer F1 Quartz would be your best bet for that, I wore one while sailing for years and it stood up to a lot of abuse
Marathon TSAR (quartz), tough as they come...42mm, sapphire, tritium vials....a few on line dealers having specials now, about $600 This is the auto version, GSAR
Do you have to get him a matching knife to go with that ? . . . . . Actually, I agree with the choice.
Hey, that's a nice knife....he probably needs one TopspecUS has it on sale now for $570.98 free shipping...they are listing a special on WUS Military section. I can't compete with the members gorgeous watches on here, but knives is a different story
It's actually a really deer dark red, but photographing a funny color for some reason. It's a Custom Busse Combat knife...called a Game Warden....but they will make it in Pink for you
Wow, thanks guys! I'm going to be busy checking out all of these. If any one else thinks of something please let me know. I will probably making a move in a week or two.
I agree with the F1 Tag ... Or even Calibre S Aquaracer. They are bulletproof and is very good at what a watch should do ... Keep time ! Good hunting !
