    Hello everyone,

I have a chance to buy the new smpc for really, really good price. Still unsure between it and the Tudor bb 58.

I find the omega is really well build and really solid. It’s feels more like a much more higher priced watch.

I think you answered your question yourself
I wrote a 3 month review on the SMP8800 on this forum, might be interesting for you.

You will not regret the new SMP imo

imho Omega is definitely a tier up from Tudor. I was in the same situation as you recently, and tried both BB58 amd SMP8800 in a local AD. All I can say is, SMP 8800 is just better in every way.

I had the same feeling the haptic and the build from the Omega is really awesome. It has the feeling of a more solid watch. I am unsure about the size and he-valve.

The only had the blue one.

    Did you buy one?

I didn't get one as I was looking for a tool watch -- SMP is too gorgeous to be a tool watch, and Tudor is just too polished for that purpose.

SMP is now at the top of my wishlist and I am dead sure I would get one this year. The blue SMP is my favorite, but again I always have a soft spot for anything blue.

You really find the Tudor too polished? I found the SMP more bling and polished.

For the application of a tool watch, the polished sides of BB would be a serious scratch magnet... If you are talking about overall presentation, I agree that SMP is shinier, due to the ceramic parts and the case geometry.

It makes really click in flesh with the new SMP. For the money is a really awesome watch. It feels so solid, build like a tank. Now time to save money :) IMG_20190830_163932.jpg IMG_20190830_163851.jpg . Think I will ad it to the collection. Black with the rubber:thumbsup:

You said you had an opportunity to get it for a good price. How much was that? Curious what's considered good price for these nowadays.

Still unsure to ad the new smp and to sell this one or to own both?

I have the BB 58 and love it. I recently tried on the Seamaster and its amazing, although quite shiny for a tool watch and feel it attracts a lot of attention to the wrist (both positively and negatively). The Tudor is definitely a high quality tool watch asking to be banged around. The Seamaster is a high-end quality tool watch and a cut above the Tudor. Black on black rubber is definitely how I'd buy it aswell.
