One or two Speedys and a Daytona would be the way to go.

All I need - and it is definitely a NEED - is 1 Speedy.

The problem is you don't have enough squirrels in your yard to help you decide. A few more of these guys and all will clear.

Here at the Omegaforums breeding facility in western New Jersey we offer a wide variety of premium stock.

I usually recommend the "Eastern Gray" as the are hardy and especially mischievous.

However in your case I recommend the Abert's Squirrel as they are better suited for a Piney environment.

Did you try a Speedy Tuesday on a metal bracelet? It is a totally different beast.

This being said. If it was me. I would go modded ( as I care more for looks than owning an LE), and save the cash for next year. Fifty years since Apollo 11 first steps on the moon, one can expect a major speedmaster LE from omega.

Ps: Once you get to your 50s you can’t see anymore the numbers on the ST dials 😜

I had a chat with some squirrels today, and decided to pass on the Speedy Tuesday and go with modding a pair of Speedmaster Pro watches (a 2005 Speedy 3572.50 and 2013 Speedy 3570.50).

For $30-40 each my watchmaker will do both dial/hand swaps, so I can do my Mitsukoshi mod and my white Italian dial "Paramedic Mod" to compare side by side and try out in person. If I don't like one or both, then I can either restore either watch back to stock and sell the parts (1 dial/2 hand sets for each mod), or sell the entire modded watch. If we wreck the stock hands I only have one spare set of stock white hands, so i don't want to be cavalier about this.

I do really like the black Speedy dial a lot, but my 1976 Speedy 861 doesn't give me the same tingly feeling as a modern Speedy with working lume and 1998 bracelet. My 1171 bracelet or Omega leather strap for the vintage Speedy makes it feel flimsy and less substantial in comparison. So I might end up returning one of the modern modded Speedy's to stock, depending on which one I like most.

I bought the 2005 Speedy 3572.50 for my 56th birthday today. Looking forward to viewing the cal 1863 via the display case-back, while still having the proper look of hesalite up front - not sure yet if it will need to be serviced when I do the mod. Will know more after we inspect and test the watch during the 14 day return period.

But I also am NOT IN LOVE with the #ST and feel I might be interested only for Fear Of Missing Out.
That's a lot of cash for something you're not in love with. I'd love the one you're with and go for the mods.

Yeah, see my posts a few days ago. I'm committed to the mods. Was it your Mitsukoshi that I got to play with at the Viewhouse at the Denver Watch Enthusiasts meet a while back? I really liked the elegance of the Mitsukoshi dial on a sapphire sandwich.

I had trouble deciding between my Mitsukoshi Mod and Paramedic Mod, but it looks like I prefer to do the Paramedic first. I wanted to do the Mitsukoshi on a sapphire case-back model, but my 3572.50 may need a service before the 2013 Speedy. So I should first mod whichever watch needs a service first - planning to do the service and mod with my local watchmaker. He's done tons of these but doesn't have a parts account, so if it's worn out then he'll give it back to me to send to Omega 1st, then he'll swap the dial/hands.

Yes, that was me. A group meets nearly once a month on Sundays at Breckenridge Brewery on Santa Fe near Arapaho Community College. I'm in grad school and most assignments are due Sunday night so I don't make it as often as I'd like but the group is really great. Last week was the largest turn out they've had in the last two years.

I need to have the Speedy in question serviced. It's 7 years old and not keeping time well and the chronograph is acting really weird. I'd like to get another hand set to future proof myself. It was fun to see your Snoopy Speedmaster before you sold it!

So I bought the 3572.50 and it arrived a couple of days ago. Cosmetically it's very good, and you can hardly tell that it's ever been polished in the past (guessing 15 years old). It was missing several removable links, and I had to install 2 more to get it to fit my wrist.

My watchmaker checked it out right away - it's running great and looks like it's been recently serviced. Today I dropped it off for the white Italian dial mod with black hands, red sweep second, and 15 Pulsations dial.

I also left them with my 2013 Speedy 3570.50 for the Mitsukoshi dial mod with silver hands. The 3570.50 runs great too, but since it was sold at an Omega Boutique 4.5 years ago I'm going to have it serviced a little early while getting the dial swap (not polishing it).
