I'm a big fan of the Rios1931 Tula.

I’m not a fan of Bund straps, but I am a fan of Rios1931. I am sure it will be a high-quality strap for a good price.

I have three bund straps from Difues Leather made in shell cordovan. I often find bund straps to be too stiff for my taste but shell cordovan are superb. I can highly recommend them and Maxim is really nice and a great craftsman. My favourite is the cuff strap

Bund straps have absolutely no business on most watches.

I’m not a fan of Bund straps ...

Yeah, I have a bunch of them that I never use.

I for one am a fan of the much maligned Bund. I love wearing it when I visit my friend who hates them! 😉

I prefer Bund over Nato!
I really don't like either, Bund is so hot to wear and so dominating on the wrist.
Nato is a sailor's knot screwing up a watch's presentation in a most uncomfortable and asymmetrical manner.

I have a couple of old (WWI) watches and Steve, @Duracuir1 and @DaveK have taken care of me wonderfully!
Both are consummate craftsman and will sculpt a work of art to your spec's, using leather's apropos'.

The best.

These straps work mostly with watches that were intended to be worn on them, in my opinion. In the past I owned an issued Arctos Bund Chronograph and an issued Orfina Porsche Design, and both were right at home.

Out of curiosity, I did however try this strap on other watches of mine, with varying degrees of success. In my opinion, it didn't work at all with the Speedmaster Professional:

However, the result was surprisingly good, and comfortable to wear, with the Seiko Monster:

Your mileage may vary, or course...

I like them in a few instances.

1. As a nice change from the metal bracelet on my IWC 3706
2. On little milwatches where they provide a bit more presence.

3706 sports American gator, milwatches in black and oxblood shell cordovan. All were custom made and I'm trying to recall who made them as he did a lovely job.

Aaron Tan (from HK). A cuff, more than a Bund, but he makes Bunds too:

I do like the conforming shape of the cuff piece!
Much nicer than the rectangle.
Hey, Steve, Dave, what do you think?

The Bulova is my "exception that proves the rule". 👍

Are there any leather strap makers that make a narrow Steve McQueen style bund (or is the correct term a cuff)? I like this style of bund as it is slim and more subtle than a wide "in your face" bund. Note that with the McQueen style bund, the underlay is straight--it doesn't curve around the perimeter of the watch head. The underlay is even a bit narrower than the famous Newman croc.

For reference, McQueen is wearing a 39mm chronograph with a 20mm lug spacing. The width of McQueen's bund leather underlay is therefore narrower than 39mm. See below:

Awesome Autavia! Those Panda sub registers really pop with the black cuff behind it. That croc is similar to the one Paul Newman made famous. Is there any difference in breathability and comfort between croc vs shell or calf?

The appearance of that watch in pictures is outstanding. Unfortunately, without my reading glasses, which for some reason I almost always forget to take with me, I couldn't read the dial very well. For that reason, I moved the Autavia on to someone who would/could appreciate it more than me. It killed me to have to do that, but I simply wasn't wearing it.

That is the only cuff style band I own, so I'm sure about the breathability. I didn't have any trouble with it. Since I moved the Autavia along, I don't wear it. I'm waiting for the right watch to dust it off again.
