Did you have to pay tariffs on your own watch? I've not had a problem using Rob in the past, but I've been kinda waiting to see before I send Rob one of mine under the current regime.
My understanding is that, yes, there are tariffs due on the value added, but I did not pay anything to a carrier. I believe Rob prepays all fees. I think the tariffs were $8 in my case

Update: Here is the complete breakdown of the amount I paid, quoted from Rob's email. Total cost was $287.00
Service/repair charge: $160.00, Gasket set: $6.00, Case Refinish: $85.00, Trump Tariff: $8.00, Return shipping: $28.00

I just received two back from Rob B and the service was excellent. He was upfront about the timing when I inquired and the entire process, including shipping to/from Canada by post each way took about 12 weeks.

I used Rob because of the reviews, his passion/knowledge (the info on website is brilliant) and the fact he's not in the US. I've had more customs hold ups and issues getting things back and forth across that boarder line in the last 1.5 years than anything to / from other overseas jurisdictions.

Good luck, all, with your tuning forks!

Received my astronaut back from Rob today. Very happy with the service and transparency. All in all, about 14 weeks from putting it in the mail to receiving it (2 weeks on the return trip once it landed stateside because USPS is WONDERFUL)

I think the Astronaut is such a bad-ass watch! It's the only tool watch in my collection.

Those things have gotten so expensive in the past few years. I kick myself for not buying one when they were around $200.
