Hello everyone!

Today I have for sale a Bulova Devil Diver. Often these are referred to as a "Snorkel". Some have the words "Snorkel" on the dial and others do not. This one obviously does not.

Case: 35mm stainless steel(not including crown), wears more like 36-37mm IMHO, unpolished

Crown: Signed original

Lugs: 18mm

Bezel: Ghosted, missing pip, bilateral rotation with satisfying click

Hands: Replaced by my watchmaker to match better

Dial: Matte finish, original to my knowledge, puffy cream lume which glows for a very short period of time when charged, signed "T Swiss" on bottom

Crystal: Original domed acrylic with internal date magnifier

Why am I selling?

I am selling for a couple reasons. Firstly I am in the process of reforming my small collection and moving pieces I don't wear all that often. Secondly I am usually very picky about things, and I bought this watch hoping to find exact matching hands. (It came with green lume), the hands that I found are close but not close enough for my liking. Additionally I am a stickler for setting the date correctly, and this is a non quickset date so it is a pain to set it unless I wear it frequently.

History of the watch:

I purchased this watch as a non-runner from a Jewelry & Estate liquidation company on eBay. Their listing stated the balance moved freely but the watch did not run. It came with its original owners bracelet which has the engraving "CAG"on it. I cleaned this because it was filled with lot wrist cheese. The watch received a full movement overhaul from a jeweler near me. It was not polished, the dial was not altered in anyway shape or form. I wore it on and off(mostly when the date came around) for a few months. One day it seized up and stopped working. I brought it in under warranty and they did complete service. I then stumbled across matching hands and then had then hands swapped.

I will include the paperwork with proof of service. Watchmaker warranties work for 12 months (through May 2018)

Some additional information on these models can be found at these links:

Included in the sale is the watch the replacement hands came from. This is a Bulova AeroJet with the same caliber movement. This movement is not running, but very clean. A simple service could provide you with two great watches, or be available for spare parts. I do not know the service history on this watch. The green lume hands were mounted on this watch. This watch also had a half-mesh-half-stretch-link bracelet.

An additional generic Speidel leather strap, and a brand new NATO style perlon strap will be included in the sale.

I am asking $575 USD via PayPal Friends & Family (or buyer pays fees). Shipping included CONUS. Shipping cost will be split for international buyers.

I believe this to be a fair price for 2 watches with this caliber movement, one serviced, and a few goodies.

I am open to trades from established members. Currently looking for a SS Sparkle Dial Seamaster, and any of the less rare dirty dozen, obviously plus cash from my end if applicable. However I am open to other trade offers as well.

That's what I call a comprehensive set of pictures 👍
Sweet watch Jake! GLWS.
Thanks guys. Just trying to be thorough.

It has come to my attention that the watchmaker that serviced this was not up to the standard at which I hoped.

New price $515 USD with a recommended service from your watchmaker.

Such a cool watch! An Explorer for people who enjoy the water as well as the mountains.

Your dial is much nicer than that other example... as good as you could ask for, really.
