Hello everyone, this is my first post to the forum! I recently purchased the Spectre fully brushed bracelet from omega and prefer it to the polished hem ones. What are your thoughts?

It's like trying to decide which of my two children is my favourite...
I found that choice surprisingly easy to make 😁 (not that I ever let them know)

A brushed bracelet looks best to me on any pure tool watch.

Eh, that were mine (maybe someday?) I'd want the inner links brushed and the outer links polished!

I brushed mine, with no regrets. The polished bracelet was too loud for my taste.

The PCL's are one of my favourite things about my 300, along with the ceramic bezel. Allows the watch to be worn in almost any circumstance, from casual to more formal environments. Like you can a GMT or Milgauss. Wouldn't change it for the world, but to each, his own.

Thats why I kept one of each! I still love the PCL just hate how quickly they smudge 🙁

You should check out the new 300, I think it has the bracelet you're looking for. I have a similar one on my speedy. (Apollo 11 bracelet)

You say you bought the bracelet from Omega? That’s interesting, because the clasp does not look like the one I purchased a few years ago, which has “007” underneath the OMEGA. That is the style that originally came on the Spectre model. I wonder if Omega recently revised the clasp since so many Seamaster 300 MC owners were ordering, to differentiate it from the “true” Spectre watch bracelet.

I agree with this statement 100%. I won’t wear polished bracelets at all, especially on a tool watch. Way too flashy for me, but that’s just my opinion.

I have the Spectre clasp still and currently have it up on eBay actually. I have a spare clasp that worked from my speedy professional bracelet I don't use anymore. Now it looks identical to the hem one.

that explains it. I’ve thought of buying another clasp to get rid of the 007 branding, but it doesn’t bother me enough to justify spending more money. Plus, I generally wear the watch on a strap anyway.

I don't like the pcls on my 300MC... I think it looks cheap. I'm thinking of getting them brushed, does anyone know a watchmaker in the UK who could do a good job?
Also wondering if I should keep the center piece of the end link polished to match the polished lugs. What do you guys think?

Some like the PCL and some of us don’t. Because we would like it to have more tool vibes. A while ago I was wearing the Longines Big Eye a lot. And then it dawned on me. This brushed look is what I wished my Seamaster 300 would have had. So I brought it to a watch jeweler I knew well and explained what I had in mind. I also had the top of the lugs brushed to match the brushed bracelet. At every GTG I get compliments on the customized brushed look. Some even said; This is how they should have released it. So, if you want more tool vibes, go for it!

I prefer the polished one because the watch also has polished AND brushed parts....

When I first picked up the 300MC I couldn't stand the polished look. I disliked it so much that the watch spent almost all of its time on various other straps. I finally decided to give it a fair trial by leaving it on the watch for a week to see what I thought.

Now- Other than very brief moments when it goes onto an Artem Strap, it doesn't come off the standard PCL bracelet. I just had to actually try it, to decide I loved it.

Happy to report that the bracelet is wearing in nicely I'm picking up a fantastic patina of scratches that add to the Vintage styling.

I think the bottom line is you can't go wrong with either the brushed or polished look. Do what's right for you.

I have to admit that this DOES look incredible.
