If it wasn't brown, would there be a question about it? It looks original to me, or a much better repro/fake than previous ones...

As I said above, we have a bezel that looks like an original pulsations, is somewhat unusually brown that no one will be able to say anything definitive about, and a lot of virtual eye squinting / hand waving to say it's fake or at least shouldn't be treated as original. That's all we're going to get.

Is that one brown ? Or just the light/timber background?
It’s not mine but one that sold here within the last year or so. Its black and just reflecting the surrounding brown color

For the sake of posterity I’ll leave some images here of my original Pulsations bezel on a minty 145.022-69 with solid provenance and a Lewis bezel placed ontop.
The Lewis bezel is nicely executed, I wear my watches and I purchased one as a beater so I wouldn’t stress about knocking an absurdly valuable bezel, but there are some obvious tells that it isn’t original and that is a good thing IMO.
It isn’t a 1:1 but I doubt anyone would notice without scrutinizing it.

As to the originality of the OP watch bezel, it looks good to me… there are a couple minute script variations but that could have been factory variance.

Thanks, enjoyed these pics. I might join you in getting a Lewis bezel to preserve mine. Lettering is a little ‘thick’ but it’s a good job.

Wow. That's quite a result, especially if you completely discount the value of the questionable bezel.

Bezels fade in all kind of colours. Depends where you are. Sun. Chlorinated swimming pools. UV light outdoors. I've seen and handled shades of grey, blue, green and , yes , brown. Nothing new.

Yes, I agree a bezel can fade to brown. Still, in this case, we have a perfect condition, rare pulsation bezel in a shade of brown perfectly matching the dial color. As a buyer I would prefer to make the assumption that this is not an original bezel, without further evidence to convince me otherwise.

Mine hasn’t faded to brown, but I’m good with that.
Now that I a nice brown bezel and original vintage (not a service replacement)
