Broken tab on 899 end link - common problem?

The 1575/899 bracelet on a watch I purchased earlier this year has a single broken tab on each end link. I'm curious if this is a common or known problem with this end link. As far as I can tell, the bracelet is still structurally sound, and the remaining tabs prevent the end links from rotating, but I feel like I ought to get the end links replaced to avoid excessive stress on the remaining tabs.
