I was playing around with the pusher on my beloved 176.007 and managed to break one - it now doesn't start/stop the timing function and feels very spongey. Are they quite straightforward to fix/are parts readily available? I am an imbecile.

It's an easy job for a watchmaker certainly. Depending on what is broken, you may be able to replace parts, or the whole pusher may need replacing. You didn't say what case material the watch is, but for stainless the pusher is 086ST0005.
