Hi Guys, I recently acquired a Broad Arrow - blue on white (my grail!) and I'm reaching out for recommendations on where I could take (or send) it for service. I'm located close to Philadelphia. Reminder : this is Frederic Piguet based caliber 3303 movement so I'd prefer finding someone who has experience with this watch or similar. Cosmetic condition of the watch is great, runs about 10 seconds slow that's all. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
So sorry about that [emoji26] I posted from my PC and hit the sumbit button. Was not redirected to the next page ansd so I assumed that it was my Internet connection but the post did go through....4 times. Apologies.
Govberg will be good but expensive. Give Sam Kalter a try first to see if he'll work on it: (215) 629 - 1022.
Thanks guys. I've seen mixed reviews for Govberg on various forums but I'll visit them sometime this week - at least for an estimate. I'll try Sam as well - thanks ulackfocus
If you stop by ask to speak with Israel. Ask him if Manny will do the work on your watch if you bring it in for service. In fact, bring it in with you and they maybe able to give you an estimate while you wait. BTW: GWR is the new/old Precision Watch Repair. They've been doin' Cal.321's for decades. Your Cal.3303 should be a snap for them
Thanks so much Miki. As long as GWR doesn't quote an outlandish amount I'll probably get it done there. Thanks again - I'll report back shortly.
The pleasure is all mine. Hopefully they will satisfy you as well they satisfied me. Israel is all about Customer Service and their satisfaction.
Do you know which 3303 model you have? If I remember right mine was a B - a two level coaxial; my watch maker upgraded it to a C - a proper three level coaxial. It wasn't cheap, but seemed like a good idea...
Hey, I'm not sure but the User Manual says Calibre 3303A. It looks different as well. Here is a picture (not my watch, borrowed from the internet) Meanwhile I spoke to Israel at GWR - sounded like a really nice bloke. Need to drop of my watch for an estimate. Picture courtesy Fratello Watches
basically the same. If its an A there, there are all sorts of possible upgrades to ask them about. Good luck and let us know what you wind up doing....
And for anyone stumbling across this in years to come.... They aren't basically the same. OPs is a calibre 3303 column lever movement, mine is a 3313 two/three level coaxial escapement. That tiny digit there in the middle makes a huge difference. 3313 has A, B and C revisions (B->C is expensive), 3303 only has A and B and any upgrades look less painful. Mental note to myself, read the post properly next time... Sorry Alphascan, and good luck!
I haven't dropped off the watch yet. Even though the -10/day is driving me nuts I'm enjoying the watch way too much to part with it for a week. Just started experimenting with different straps. Here are some pics for you lovely folks. [img=http://s22.postimg.org/ifdag5yyl/2015_12_25_12_12_44.jpg] [img=http://s14.postimg.org/7nat2f1p9/20151224_235010.jpg]
