I just picked up my heirloom 1961 Breitling Chronomat 808 from Breitling's HQ in Grenchen after a 9-month (!!) Service.
Unfortunately Breitling wasn't able to provide a manual for my watch. Now the scale system is opposite to the newer Navitimer which is why I can't just look at the new manuals in order to understand the calculation system on my watch. With the rotating bezel you should be able to calculate many different things but I didn't yet find out how the heck it works.

Can anybody tell me where to download a Breitling Chronomat 808 manual in English, German or French? I found many manuals for Breitlings but none for the 808.
Or can anybody explain how the calculations work?

Thank you very much in advance!
Here's a picture of my watch after having been serviced.

Thanks! I didn't think it would be that easy to use the manual for the newer models!

Just in case that in future someone is looking for the 808 manual as well.
I found one for the 769 here: download.
Even with the dial on the 769 being different, all further calculations (e.g. Telemetre, average speed,...) and all the explanations of the special markings on the dial (e.g. meaning of 1/5, S,H, 6 minutes,...) on the inner ring and its implications for calculations work perfectly.
The booklet for the 769 is the most detailed and accurate resource I've found so far.

Manuals for other models are available here http://www.breitlingsource.com/breitling_manuals.shtml and here http://www.breitling.com/en/service/user-manuals/.

    Best,

Here is the manual for the Chronomat 808. It has exactly the same content as the 769 manual. I just bought it on Evilbay.
