Would you really trust a survey where Boucheron ranked #3?

馃榾 this kind of survey is like politic polls, more entertaining rather than illuminating.

This is another pseudo-expert organization , like Hodinkee.

This is the Luxury Institute's 2007's rankings.
1. Blancpain
2. Vacheron Constantin
3. Breguet
4. Chopard
5. Hublot
6. IWC
7. Rolex
8. Van Cleef & Arpels
9. Harry Winston
10. Franck Muller

Without a well planned rigidly enforced methodology these surveys are worthless.

Wait... in 2007 they rated Hublot, IWC, Blancpain and Rolex above Patek?

These polls are a lot like the ones I see on every billboard in Las Vegas that says this show or that restaurant was voted #1 in some made-up category.

It's all about marketing and nothing about quality.

Money talks. These are people that can obviously afford them, given the income range of the individuals surveyed. They might not be as knowledgeable as forum regulars, but they obviously collect watches and know what they like. Personally, I love both Patek and Breguet. But in the end, I would opt for a Breguet; Swatch Group owned or not. It is the heritage that matters to me.

I saw a survey that said most surveys are bullshit. I also saw a study that concluded 55% of all statistics are made up. Then there was this commercial about a blonde who had a date with a French model and anything on the internet must be true.
